As the lead product designer for Selina Advance, Jonny tackled the challenge of redesigning the desktop web application for the finance company, specializing in homeowner loans for home upgrades. The task involved simplifying the loan application process for customers, optimizing application prioritization for brokers, and streamlining claims processing for underwriters while maintaining a smooth user experience.
The existing system was fraught with complexity, hindering customers, brokers, and underwriters alike. Customers faced hurdles in applying for loans, brokers struggled with application prioritization, and underwriters juggled multiple claims inefficiently. The reliance on makeshift Salesforce tools exacerbated these issues, necessitating a comprehensive redesign to enhance usability, efficiency, and scalability.
I worked closely with the team based in New York and Scotland to define the branding, create user flows, prototypes, and designs for the web app.
